DESCRIPTION:The Chesapeake Volunteer Center is offering one motivated 
 individual the opportunity to spend a year serving in the upper easter
 n shore as an AmeriCorps*VISTA (domestic Peace Corps) member. Gain inv
 aluable experience and new skills while supporting volunteerism and co
 mmunity activism. This is a full-time\, 12-month position beginning in
  MARCH 2007.  Serve your community by joining a nonprofit organization
  that is a one-stop resource for service and volunteerism.     In retu
 rn\, the AmeriCorps*VISTA member will receive a modest annual living a
 llowance\, training\, health insurance\, and student loan deferment\, 
 as well as a post-service education award of up to $4\,725 to help pay
  for future college courses or student loans.
