 g the Community\, Serving the Nation is an event co-sponsored by the C
 enter for Social Concern at the Johns Hopkins University and the Midsh
 ipman Action Group at the United States Naval Academy . JHU's Center f
 or Social Concern and USNA's Midshipman Action Group are campus commun
 ity service organizations that coordinate the efforts of over 40 commu
 nity outreach programs. The conference will allow all attendees to mee
 t people from the Mid-Atlantic area to discuss current community servi
 ce projects and to collaborate in future endeavors. Together\, local c
 ollege and community organizations strengthen their programs and expan
 d their volunteer efforts. The conference will also encourage the esta
 blishment of proactive programs and service-based learning curriculum 
 in schools and organizations. This conference aims to develop strong\,
  proactive leaders who are actively involved in serving their communit
 y and nation.
